My Sockapal2za Socks
Yesterday my project group got some not so good news about the project we'd been working on for quite a while, so it was a downer, and I was not feeling so happy when I came home. Bruce was there, as usual, having gotten home before me, and gave me one of his big hugs. I saw the box sitting on the stairs, and realized that it had to be from Samantha Blackmon. Besides the lovely socks, I found a tin of Altoids Apple Sour, a small tin of green tea leaves, and a yellow highlighter with mini-tabs. I love tart food, and I've seen this new product at the store but haven't had a chance yet to buy one. And I love tea - my custom is to have a cup of tea every morning to start off my day at work. I like coffee, but I find it hard to drink it all down, and Starbuck coffee does add up. Oh, yes, the socks do fit! I'm really looking forward to wearing these during the cold weather.
Meanwhile, I've been working on the cable clog socks. I love the pattern. The first sock I started on Saturday and am almost finished with it now - only just have to bind off the stitches. The knitted fabric feels really good and soft. I'm looking forward to seeing how it will wash up and wear. I suspect it may felt a little bit on the soles, but that's okay. I think I may have enough yarn to make four out of this pattern.

I am so glad that the socks fit! That is always such a huge worry when I'm knitting for someone else. Wear the socks in good health!!
