Making My Way Back
Well, I'm finally making a comeback, of sorts. I got tired of MT-Blacklist not working, and my hosting service had some sort of a meltdown with the server from which my domain was being served (and also where the mail server resided, so they couldn't really go and shut it down to reboot and have everything take forever to rebuild). So, I had my domain moved to one of their other server and that was quite an adventure. And, the database where all my blog entries and comments wouldn't cooperate (I'd forgotten to "download" before moving over to the server).
So, I've had to start over, using a different database setup which will be much easier to back up. I'm not happy about losing 2 years worth of my blog, but that's life.
Tomorrow I'm off to MDSWF!!! Shop, shop, shop till you drop . . .

you should check it out because there are all types of yarns not just those you refer to as faddish. They also carry a WIDE variety of knitting needles and crochet hooks including some really neat bamboo needles. I purchased Lamb's Pride Bulky wool there along with several worsted weight wools and some hand dyed mohair. And you can enjoy a nice meal and meet some exceptionally cool knitters of all ages, races and skill levels. This is an extremely cool place and not at all faddish.
Thanks for your comment! I do definitely plan to visit this place (especially since I need to wind down from this hair-pulling week and B starts his new job Saturday) Saturday.
Did you go to the Folk Art Studio and Cafe on Saturday? Check in on Wednesday night as well. The owner and a few other ladies provide knitting instruction and lots of people come in to knit, chat and relax. They are planning a sock class and new yarns come in every week. As for the yarns on hand, they also carry chenilles and sport and baby weight worsted yarns ands homespun in addition to the bulky Lambs Pride, Bryson yarns, and Colinette Trendsetter yarns. The atmosphere is wonderful and this is a local business worth supporting.
