The past couple days have been full of excitement. So . . . let's get the bad news out first.
The bad news? Hubby got escorted off the school campus after being told to turn in his keys and whatever materials belonged to the school. And he won't get paid for the rest of the week.
The good news? He's got a job already lined up and will start next Monday at Global Engineering Company in Baltimore, combining his design and electrician experience. And the salary is such that it will more than make up for the lost pay for the rest of the week. I'm really excited about this, as it looks like a good company and the perfect place for Hubby to be at - it's something he's been looking for a long time, where his experience will be appreciated and he will have a lot of room for professional growth and climbing the ladder.

Once again, I'm finding myself on the Sleeve Island. I finally understood that part of EZ's instructions on how to get started with the shaping. And I'm knitting along merrily, and then at some point I try on the body to see how it feels. Umm . . . it seems that the current sleeves are skin-tight around my wrists. This isn't good, because I wear turtlenecks (especially those with some ease) during the winter.
You'll see that Sleeve I, on the left, measures 3". That's way, way too small, even with my small wrists. Sleeve II will give me that ease that I need plus enable me to wear my turtlenecks and not feel so uncomfortable. Now I just have to get both sleeves reknitted and completed this weekend so I can move on. Meanwhile, I'm still trying to grok that saddle shoulder shaping after I finish the vertical decreases . . .
I'm doing a bit of stash housecleaning, so I have some spinning items up for sale. There will be more going up for sale, such as handspun yarn and extra magazines. I take PayPal, and you pay shipping (I don't have a job currently, so I can't afford to pay shipping charges) and insurance (if you want it). I'm hoping to learn how to make stitch markers, so eventually I will have these available, if I can come out with good designs. There's a beading store here in Bowie that is relocating to the shopping center right by my home, so I hope to find good stuff there.

So, I'm going to try to get the socks that I've done finished up this month. One or two I may rip back to the beginning because I'm not in love with the patterns anymore. Can't promise that I'll hae a nice basket of completed socks by end of the month, but I'll try, nonetheless.
